Delegated

The infinite possibilities of what 'delegated' actually means must cause so many issues in schools.

I find this adapted version of the RACI model really useful when starting projects.


1. Responsible

The person (or team) who does the work or executes the task.

They carry out the action, but they are not necessarily the decision-maker.


2. Owner

The single leader accountable for the outcome.

They hold the standard, approve decisions, and ensure delivery.

There can only ever be one Owner.


3. Driver

The person who keeps the work moving.

They coordinate timelines, check progress, remove blockers, and make sure the Owner stays informed.

The Driver ensures momentum.


4. Informed

Stakeholders who must be kept updated.

Not consulted for decisions, not involved in execution, simply informed at agreed points.


I find it's the easiest way to ensure 'I thought you were doing it' stops happening. 


But tools are only useful if you have the capacity to build and run them and that's where Simpang comes in.
