This time of year always creates an interesting contrast.
On the surface, schools slow down. Calendars pause. Buildings empty.
But underneath, this is when most leaders are mentally busiest.

I’ve spent part of the last few days reviewing notes from conversations I’ve had with school leaders across the year. Not action plans. Not strategies. Just the questions they kept coming back to.
The pattern is often the same:
“We’re doing a lot, but I’m not sure it’s adding up.”
“We’ve got good people, but not always shared direction.”
"January feels important...”
Over the break, I’m deliberately not launching anything new. No urgency. No noise. Just making space for the conversations that matter when the calendar turns.
In early January, I’ll be opening a small number of Simpang Start conversations; a calm, pressure-free way to think clearly about what the next year actually needs.
No pitch. No commitment. Just clarity.
If January already feels louder than it needs to be, that’s usually the signal.
If you want to start the year with a clearer head, Simpang Start opens again in early January.
If this thinking resonates, the most natural next step is a conversation.
Simpang Start is a short, open discussion to explore whether a Simpang partnership could add real value to your school.
No pitch.
No pressure.
Just clarity.
