Why Simpang?

I was staring at a blank grid (digital) notepad when I finally had to admit it:

The international school sector doesn’t need another ‘improvement programme’.

We are already drowning in strategy documents, CPD calendars, and three-year plans that everyone ‘agrees’ with but nobody actually has time to live.

I kept seeing the same pattern over and over in my conversations with Heads and senior leaders:

→ The ‘5 Leaders, 5 Answers’ Problem: Everyone is working incredibly hard, but they aren't always working together on the same thing.

→ The Strategy Gap: Strategy breaks exactly where clarity breaks. If the leadership team isn’t aligned, the rest of the school is just guessing.

→ Noise vs. Momentum: Schools aren't failing because of weak intentions; they’re stalling because of too much noise.

That’s why I started Simpang.

I wanted to build something that wasn’t about ‘fixing’ schools, but about Strategic Clarity. It’s about helping the most capable, committed leaders in the world find the room to actually lead again.

The goal is simple: Keep it human.

We don’t need more initiatives. We need fewer things, executed well. We need to strengthen the organisational core so that the best people in every school can do their best work without the friction of misaligned priorities.

Because alignment isn’t just a corporate buzzword. It’s the infrastructure that lets a school breathe.

That's it.
